Welcome to the portfolio of Francis Windram.
I am a graphic designer, artist, and photographer from England, specialising in the digital medium for nearly all of my professional work.
I have been interested in photography since I recieved my first camera, and the passion for still and moving image has not diminished in the thirteen years since that day. More recently I became involved in the digital side of art. With my discovery of GIMP (an image manipulation suite) I found myself immersed in a whole new world of possiblities. After learning a fair amount of techniques about GIMP and developing a few of my own, I came across another digital art program called Bryce. Version 5.5 was being released by Daz3D as a free demo to entice people to buy Bryce 6.1, their newest release. I felt this a golden oppertunity to start work in the world of 3D art. From this stemmed a lot of simple work including Metas, the basis of Metas II which is on display in the 3D Art gallery.
In 2008 I started a 2 year graphic design course, which introduced me to many of the products and techniques I use now. These include grid systems, typographic design, diagonals rules and many more. During that course, I started to work on comission part time as a graphic designer and web coder for various clients around the world, particularly in England. Currently I am taking commissions, if you are interested don't hesitate to email me.
